Dragon Hill Publishers exclusively publishes books by Mari Selby and Jennet Inglis
JENNET INGLIS
Jennet Inglis: Friends and colleagues refer to me as a creative savant. I am often told I must be superhuman, when it’s simply genius autism. I used to cover up my autism because I felt unsafe being myself. But my thousands of paintings speak for me, so I can’t deny who I really am. My world seems to slide through space at a different speed and amperage than those around me. One perception of myself is that ALL Time physically resides in me.
One of my first memories is being in a stroller in Manhattan when my mother stopped at a corner flower market. My face was pressed into those flowers, while my eyes were filled with their colors and shapes. I still remember those flowers, which is partly why I had to create these coloring books: to share with you my joy in nature.
MARI SELBY
Laurel Thatcher Ulrich, “Well behaved women rarely make history.” Mari Selby has always been an unruly woman. She has always fought for women’s rights and women’s empowerment. Mari’s unruly behavior began as a child standing up to her bullying father and continued with protesting the Vietnam War, living communally with women in Oregon, to writing as a spiritual warrior and subversive. Mari’s first poem was written and published when she was seven.
In addition to her most recent poetry book, “Lightning Strikes Twice”, Mari is currently working on several writing projects, a memoir of her gay life and an anthology; Cancer Tribe 101: The Heroes Journey. Over decades Mari has published her poetry in anthologies, almanacs, magazines and newsletters. She has also taught and led writing groups.
Currently Mari is the publisher for Dragon Hill Publishing. For over three decades Mari has comforted and assisted hundreds of people as a family therapist, healer, and spiritual advisor.
